This one took some planning. A penthouse living room in Madrid, floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides, city views at night, and an interior that was already doing a lot of the heavy lifting — marble floors, custom furniture, the works. The client wanted lighting that would disappear into the architecture during the day and completely transform the space after dark.
We designed and installed a full perimeter LED strip system along the ceiling coves, with a secondary layer of wall accent lighting to add depth to the panelled walls. Every circuit runs through a smart dimming system, so the client can shift from bright and functional to warm and cinematic with a single tap. The colour temperature was carefully selected at 2700K — warm enough to feel intimate, clean enough to not feel orange.
What makes this installation stand out isn't any single element — it's how everything works together. The ceiling strips wash the room in a soft upward glow, the wall accents create shadow and texture, and the dimming system ties it all into one seamless experience. At full brightness it's a living room. At 20% it's something else entirely.
